lets start with Friday since technically thats the beginning of the weekend. Well it started with a crappy day at work... 6:45 hit on the clock and i was done with work (45 min late) so off I go on my enjoyable 30 minute commute home. Of course there is the usual traffic on Briarcliff where i get to drive a speedy 10 miles per hour. I am barely a mile down the road and there is a cop behind me, no biggie i figured since i obviously was not speeding, my tag is good and i was pretty sure all my lights were working normal so here i am thinking that I am pretty safe and voila there are the blue lights... I mean what the crap so I pull over, the cop comes to my window ( a very attractive cop which I should have hooked up with a coworker or something) and so I ask... "whats the problem sir?" and i am told that I have either stolen the car or I am driving without a license. Hmmmm. conveniently i had already pulled my license out and had it ready at hand. I show it to the cop and he responds " Ma'am this car is registered to an Erica but with a different last name" so then the lightbulb came on. Freaking smarty pants here got married and changed my name but didn't even think about getting my name changed on my registration (you know that one piece of paper you have to pay for once a year) So here I am on the side of Briarcliff trying to prove my identity with my business cards, security tag and name tag. I even showed him my insurance card with Joe's name on it to prove who I had married. anyway he let me go no ticket just a friendly reminder to get the registration information changed!
So then there was Saturday, Joe went to run to the bank quick before they closed and hardly got out of the complex before his car died... i mean its dead..... like NEED to be replaced! Awesome. So being smart we only want to pay cash for a car because right now we dont want to finance anything or have another monthly bill so Saturday afternoon we got to enjoy a lovely afternoon of searching for a cheap car. It oddly enough was a blast!
Today has been pretty smooth, we had church this morning and then came home and had a large sunday lunch. Joe went off to work early this evening and I spent some time scrapbooking. ahhh weekends off, too bad work starts back tomorrow :)
