Love

This weekend we had the privilege of being invited to a 60th wedding anniversary party for some very dear friends of my husbands family.

Lets just take a minute and think about that shall we...

60!!

Like twice my lifetime!! Enough time to pay off two separate 30 year mortgages!!

The idea is crazy to me! It is just not the norm these days to be in a long term committed relationship and these two precious souls have done it for 60! To think about all the hard times they have shared together and then still wanting to be together... working through those hard times and relishing in the great times all while rooting their marriage in their faith. That my friends is a godly marriage! It is something so much more than amazing... It's admirable!

Currently I am enjoying these roses on our island, roses simply used to decorate our chairs at such an amazing celebration but leaving a last impression on me as I go about the week.  I am enjoying them as a reminder that " I have found the one whom my soul loves" Song of Solomon 3:4

If 60 years look that good bring on the next 55! :)
