Grace...

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Cor 12:9


Oh how I am resting in this tonight. 


Today was not my best parenting day ... ever... 

Joe is out of town this weekend with the middle schoolers at church and I am playing solo parent for the weekend. I was sooo excited going into this weekend, the first weekend in 2 months with no plans and I had HIGH expectations of enjoying every little minute of my girly, Just her and I.  

God's plan was bigger today.  

Today I fought in World War III with a toddler.  I am tired.  It was tough.  There were moments, some lasting longer than others, where my sweet girl was with me ... but the rest of the time whoa! I lost my patience and at times it just was not pretty.  But tomorrow is a new day and therefore tonight I am resting in His truth.  His grace is sufficient for ME.  I am boasting of my weakness as a parent today and knowing the His power is resting on me.   

Moms... everyday is not easy and parenting is not all rosey.  Its amazing, challenging, sometimes defeating but it is what we have been called to do.  We serve our God through being mama's  and raising these beautiful babies with hearts that beat for Jesus.  So keep it up.  You're all doing an amazing job!
