3 months

Makayla I cannot believe you are already 3 months.... but I have to say you are in a fun stage for sure! We are having a blast getting to know your spunky personality and I am pretty sure we are going to have our hands full.

What you are up to:

- able to sit up assisted with bumbo or propped in a chair, you hold your head up very well!

- sleeping 4-6 hour stretches, sometimes 8-9 if we luck out, we do a little cheer when this happens, lately you have been back to sleeping 2 hour stretches again... mommy and daddy are very tired!

- starting to giggle

- smiling when you see mommy and daddy and sometimes just when you hear our voices

- cooing A LOT, you have started to find your voice and you are a jibbering machine!

- you have learned to blow raspberries, you constantly are blowing bubbles and drooling, we realize now why you are drooling... you have two teeth working their way into the world!

- you have started to grasp your toys and especially our fingers, we watched you coordinate both hands to grab a toy and put it to your mouth the other day. 

- your hands are ALWAYS in your mouth, you have started to notice your feet and I can only imagine how soon it will be before those are in your mouth too.

- you LOVE LOVE LOVE your nighttime baths, you like to make big splashes!

- When I feed you everynight before bed we go through all the family members and tell everyone goodnight. By the time we get to the end you are drifting off to sleep :)

- you have started to show more interest in books.

- you are eating every 2 hours during the day although not consistent amounts. I think this is becuase your body is trying to adjust to longer times between feedings and you tummy is not there yet. Sometimes we can get 3-4 hours but mainly that happens at night

- You do not like the smell of fish, when we go through the fish department at the grocery store you make the funniest faces... even if you are sleeping. Maybe you will be like your mom and not like fish until your late 20's.

- You have cruised right into size 2 diapers

-You are wearing some  0-3 months and some 3 month clothes

- you love nightly walks to go get the mail

- starting to recognize the pups, Tika cries now when you cry, its cute, endearing, and annoying all at the same time. :) 

- you just went on your first trip although only 24 hours but it was 8 hours in the car and you did AMAZING!

I wish mom was there b/c this would have been a 5 generation picture! but 4 of the 5 of us is pretty darn good. The women in our family live a long time :)
