I missed the 6 and 7 month post... and for a few minutes I felt a little bad because I wont have that to look back on.... However, in reality I know the reason I have no post or any wonderous pics for 6 and 7 months is because I have this little lady who is BUSY!!! She is so full of happiness and it bounds from her soul daily. The fact that she doesn't sit still for more than a second makes pictures hard too :)
I cannot believe I have an 8 month old! SERIOUSLY?!?!?!
Warning this post may be a little lengthy but I have a lot of ground to cover from the last 3 months :)
I will have to update her stats with her nine month post however we are guessing she is about 17-18 pounds.
What you are saying:
-ba ba
-da da ( this was your first word and everything was dada for a while but now you associated dada with -your dada)
-ma ma
-gee gee ( for your gigi)
-hi
-hey
-you have started the "p" sound lately too
This morning you looked at dada and said dada and turned and looked at me and said mama - Genius!
What your doing:
-Everything!
-You are a busy busy busy girl, you have so much energy way more than you parents have ever had... combined ;)
-you clap a lot, especially when we cheer on Alabama, ROLL TIDE!
-you wave and have recently associated waving at someone across the room or when they are going or -coming
- you started crawling at 6 months, at seven months you were pulling up on things, and now at 8 months you are standing some on your own and cruising around the furniture. We suspect you will begin walking very soon. We have mixed feelings about that but we will take it however.
- at bedtime we usually rock you and give you a bottle and you have started to hum yourself to sleep
- you have become a thumbsucker! You are probably 1/2 and 1/2 between the paci and your thumb.
Songs we are singing:
Jesus loves me
Mr. Sun
Mary had a Little Lamb
Itsy Bitsy Spider
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
Sometimes you will "sing" with us too!
Trips you have taken:
- I believe you are up to 3 trips to nashville now
- You have been to South Carolina for your first family vacation!
- one trip to urgent care for thinking you are super woman.
What you are eating:
- sweet potato - we were able to get you a sweet potato at longhorn last weekend off the menu, minus all the extras, an glimpse into a big girl
- carrots
- green beans
- mango
- pears
- apples
- apricots
- peas
- pumpkin
- butternut squash
- broccoli
you are not a big fan of banana that is not mixed or blended really well, and you seem to have an aversion to purple fruits like blueberries and plums.
Upcoming posts:
~ Halloween / Pumpkins
~ South Carolina Trip
~ and maybe I should start working on your 9 month post considering I run a bit behind :)
