You Know Your a New Mom When...

The truth about motherhood... (part 1 of forever)

1. 2 hours comes and goes and comes again WAY to quick!
2. It takes 2 1/2 hours to get ready to get out the door and your still late to your appointment.
3. You spend 30 minutes the night before preparing for an outing the next day... that isnt until 1 pm.
4. You read baby/parenting magazines and see the add for Palmers belly products and wonder how much photoshopping they did on the photo because you have used the same product for 3 quarters of your pregnancy and your stomach looks like a road map from Atlanta to Nashville.
5. you can laugh when your child had 7 fully loaded poopy diapers in an hour and a half span.
6. You are exhausted from a sleepless night but all you want to do is cuddle with your new baby.
7. You have just started pumping and you pumped 1 oz after feeding the baby and you feel like you have won the lottery!
8. You feel a flutter in your stomach and realize that its no longer a baby fluttering but probably just gas :)
9. You can balance a baby while eating cereal with one hand and not spill :)
10. You just finished your 3rd baby load of laundry this week, because she pees on more things than the animals, Gotta get quicker with the diaper changes  :)
11. Thin mints might be considered a well balanced breakfast :)
12. Your arm feels wet during a 3:30 am feeding. You smell it thinking it could be from a diaper but then realize its just a leaky boob :)
13. You decide the person who said no crying over spilt milk was obviously a man, or a woman with no breastfeeding experience. Spilling breastmilk is just a plain bummer!
14. You start appreciating the cows and how much they were pumped to produce all the milk you craved and indulged in while pregnant.
15. Despite finding moments here and there to clean and pick up around the house you realize you have not dusted in 3 weeks and as gross as that is, you realize its ok, it will get done... eventually.


I know the list will continue... This is, after all, only the beginning :)

but in the meantime we are enjoying every second of it :)
